Orphans
We work together with Global Orphan Relief to provide homes for orphaned children. We currently have a home in the small village of Mapmapi, Zambia and Muntuamusiku, Zambia. In addition we have a program in Likasi, Congo (DRC) sponsoring orphaned children through primary school.
1. House of Faith (Ng'anda ya Lushomo) Children's Home
House of Faith Children's Home is located in Mapampi area of Zambia, about 32 kilometers from Kalomo. There are currently 49 children who live there in 5 families. Each home is led by a widow with up to 12 children. The children are being raised to know Jesus personally, pursue academics, engage in agriculture, and have lots of fun! For more information on getting involved with the House of Faith please visit the Global Orphan Relief website.

3. School of Dreams (Masomo ya Ndoto) Congo Orphan Sponsorship Program
This project was started back in 2008. Sheri Jones was living in Likasi, Congo at the time. She began to notice the difficulties orphaned children faced in finding school fees. In Zambia school fees are very affordable, in many countries in Africa primary education is free, but in Congo nothing is free. As Sheri observed so many orphans with no chance at getting an education she knew something needed to be done. She started by sponsoring the children of one of her neighbors. As she began to share with others the need, money was given and the next year 23 children were sponsored. The Lord has continued to provide and the program is now sponsoring 170 children. As with all things the center of the ministry is on Jesus Christ. Now the children all attend a Christian primary school, and attend special chapel services every Friday taught by a pastor who Sheri trained in children's ministry. Congo is such a harsh country with so many problems that hopes and dreams are easily squelched. This project exists to give orphaned children in Congo "a hope that doesn't disappoint" and make dreams come true. For more information go to www.globalorphanrelief.org.
