2 month old Ofaryel came to us one Sunday night about 6pm with his Auntie and a driver on a motorcycle needing a home. His mom had passed away the day before in a resettlement area about 4 hours out in or near the game park. He has 6 brothers and a sister. Benita interviewed last year when we were looking for a house mom and did not feel her call was in the valley at House of Hope but wanted to work with Orphans. We did not have a place for her but she was willing to wait until we opened the 6th house. We are so blessed and excited how the Lord worked everything out. Benita came out for a weeks stay this month and is ready to care for the children when we move Loveness to House of Hope... Praise the Lord! I know it's all in HIS time not ours. Thank you Lord. Loveness brought Ofaryel to Kalomo for a baby checkup with Dr Christa Murphy of Africa's Child he weighted 5.5kg and tested negative for several tests. We are blessed to have someone who can do these things for our children. Shoes and sock time also comes a couple of times a year. Again I was so blessed to have a donated pair of shoes for everyone in the closet except 4 children. I traced around their foot on a piece of paper to make sure I bought the right size in town :) It worked and now everyone has shoes..... I received a call from one of the house moms to please come Ofaryel's father was there with two more boys and needed our help. When I arrived the father was so blessed to see Ofaryel and how well he was cared for. He shared just how hard it is without his wife. Obby age 2 and Osborn age 4 could not be cared for by the older brothers and he had no family near by to help him with the young children. We will care for the three boys together until the time the father can care for them again. Global Orphan Relief is also building a round house for children who do not really have a family to go back to. We would help them to learn how to live caring for themselves before their transition to their own place. I am learning more and more everyday. On our visit to House of Hope we found the roof almost ready for the Iron sheets, the security door was on and the floor should also be poured soon for the second house. Our plans at this point are to OPEN June 12th with or without power.... This is the Primary School right next to House of Hope. They have government paid teachers and I was happy to see the school. Five year old Fenny helping out House mom Loveness with some Babysitting skills. Ofaryel loved all the new things to see...
