After 5 weeks of sharing and seeing family and friends on the east coast along with freezing temperatures and snow in Maryland, Virginia and West Virgina we drove back to Texas for a spring break of fun with Brandi and family.
Michael and I departed Zambia for Germany the end of January to see his oldest daughter Pam and family. What a wonderful time we had together 4 days was just not enough :( The Lord blessed us with no snow while we visited and for the end of January that was unusual. Pam took us to a summer country Estate that was build in the 1700 and very beautiful . We arrived late afternoon Saturday Feb 2nd into Dallas Texas to see our daughter Brandi and her family. We keep our car at Brandi's that we use to travel the states sharing our work with Noah Ministries. To our surprised Ethan had a make up basketball game. What a special time I had to see my grandson play one of his games. As we drove east from Dallas we realized Micheal's brother, Brian, and family had moved and maybe we could squeeze in a visit with them on our way. We did and it was too short but a very blessed time. I was so blessed to spend time with my mom as she was getting back on her feet from a time of health issues. There is no place like home in Maple NC Michael was blessed to share at many churches. The fellowship of morning prayer times with men from several churches in the area was wonderful and refreshing for Michael. He has a heart for America now almost like he had for Zambia 20 years ago. We will continue to pray for the land of our birth and country we love. After 5 weeks of sharing and seeing family and friends on the east coast along with freezing temperatures and snow in Maryland, Virginia and West Virgina we drove back to Texas for a spring break of fun with Brandi and family. We had 4 days in San Antonio Texas walking the River walk seeing the Alamo and a day at Sea World. We had fun helping the kids learn how to ride a bike and just playing UNO. A week is just not enough for this grandma :( but I am blessed I get to see them each year now. Then it was on to Aurora CO to see Jamie and family. We got to visit the Denver Zoo, drive up into the Rocky's after a large snow storm. It was very beautiful. We went to Lowery Air Force base where Michael did 4 weeks of training back in the late 70's. It is now a museum. We had an egg hunt in the snow and just enjoyed a week with family. Then it was back to Texas for a day of shopping and packing and then we departed Dallas for a flight to London Heathrow with a day layover then another night flight back to Lusaka. Sheri met us at the airport and had covered the work while we were away. We are so blessed to have had this time to share what the Lord is doing and see our families. We are back in the groove now after a week of sleeping at the wrong times and just getting back on track. We went out to see the kids twice last week and shopped for the beginning of the month supplies in Livingstone and a trip to the new work House of Hope in the valley. All is well and more updates will follow... Thanks for you love and prayers for us, it truly keeps us going.
