September we found the children having a math class with bean weighing and buying. Our teacher did a great job showing the children each step of the process and we bought enough beans to take us through to the up coming rainy season. September is also the month I give out clothes for warmer weather to each child. This is a very big job and we now have 56 children at House of Faith and 9 children at House of Hope. As I was unpacking the bags marked summer I found winter clothes were mixed in and I had a panic moment. I said Lord I need clothes for your children and what I thought I had is not here. He brought to my mind a donation of boxes that was given to us in May. As I started pulling these boxes from the closet I found everything I needed and did not have to buy anything but shoes for some of the children. The Lord is so good to bring a head of time what we need when we don't even know we need it . :) Both the boys and the girls love getting their new clothes and are always digging through the piles for just the right items.... I love watching them get excited. What a blessing it is to have people care enough to send things with teams and through the mail for our kids. I was out for three nights and 4 days getting this big clothes job done and was very thankful to get the apartment cleaned and the clothes put back in the closets. This is an apartment where our volunteers stay when coming to help at House of Faith. I use it for many things when there is no one helping out on site. Breakfast time Breakfast and then off to school they will go . This is Mackmore and house mom Mary. We had been to Cure Hospital in Lusaka twice trying to have his adenoids removed. Our first trip the Dr was in an accident and could not do the surgery and the second time Mackmore had a rash and they would not put him under. Our third trip was a blessing and his adenoids where removed. Mackmore's nose drained out of his ear- that was the reason for him needing surgery. When coming out of recovery we watched and waited for Mack and saw many children sleeping on gurneys. When Mackmore came out of surgery he was sitting up with a tear in his eye wondering what in the world is going on, why am I riding on this cart! We have been blessed to now see mucus coming out his nose not his ear! The Lord is good. Luuwo's temperature rose above 104 degrees twice in last 10 days with a headache and blurred vision. We where sent home with Malaria meds after the first trip the hospital with inconclusive results from her blood work. The second time was at 12:15 am. When the call came and Michael rushed out to pick her and mama Rita up for the trip in to the Hospital. After a stay of three days we where asked to go to Zimba Eye Clinic for more test. They diagnosed her with Uveitis. We go back the end of October after her treatments of two different drops to find what the outcome will be. Pray with us that the Lord will touch her eyes and make them whole again. Hybeck came to us at 16 years old with much sickness in his body. We don't take in children this old but he was a very special case. He was to go back to relatives in Dec 2012 but could not because of a sore on his leg that just would not heal. He was in the Hospital many many times, it would get a bit better and then again it would open. We had a biopsy at Zimba Mission Hospital in May and it was believed he had skin TB. The biopsy came back negative and he was given antibiotics for an extended time and Praise the Lord his leg has finally healed. He went back with his grandparents, Uncles and Aunts. We will keep a check on him each month as he travels in to Clinic and will help with his school fees. Michael has been out each weekend in September for Jesus Film showings and Sunday services the next day. He has been truly blessed to see what the Lord is doing in the far off places. One area e visited about 150 stood to except Jesus as Savor. What a blessed and exciting time.
